Hi!

My name is Bibiana, but everyone calls me Sissi. I’m an NIP-registered therapist based in the Netherlands.

I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, I moved to Amsterdam to pursue my studies in psychology, and I’ve called this city home ever since. Having navigated the challenges of being an expat myself, I deeply understand the emotional complexities of starting over—loneliness, uncertainty, and the search for belonging.

I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam, where I specialized in clinical psychology and psychological methods. I continued my academic journey with an MSc in Clinical Psychology at Utrecht University, graduating with distinction from both universities.

2024 – Internship at Amsterdam Medical Centre (AMC), in the Gynecology and Sexology Department, focusing on the physiological differences of pre- and post-menopausal women.
2024 – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Training
2024 – Schema Therapy Training (Schematherapie Opleidingen)
2025 – Kinsey Institute – Human Sexuality Intensive Training
2025 - EMDR Institute, founded by Francine Shapiro - EMDR Basic training
2026 - Gottman - Level 1 & Level 2 training

As a clinical psychologist, I am deeply committed to evidence-based practice. I have a strong passion for psychology research, I will probably bombard you with psychology fun facts during our sessions!

Beyond the scientific foundation of my work, I also believe in a holistic approach to therapy. Mental well-being is not just about cognitive processes—it is deeply connected to the body, habits, and daily life. In my practice, I focus on integrating these worlds.

In my practice, I use techniques from CBT, Schema Therapy and Sexual Psychology.
